The European Union Neighbourhood Policy Research Project |

OBJECTIVE |
The Project aims at creating a network of political, economic and social scientists to study and research the European Union's relations with the countries that do not currently have a perspective of membership but share a border with the Union. These countries are Russia, Ukraine, Moldova Belarus, and the Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia). Senior and young scientists of European and neighbouring countries universities will make the group. |

PROGRAMME |
Two study seminars are foreseen to set the research
group.The first step will consist in an intensive
one-week seminar aiming to foster knowledge on the ‘Neighbourhood Policy of
the European Union’ and to provide academic support to invited young
researchers starting individual research. The second step will consist in a
one-week seminar to be held three months after the first seminar. Namely, in the
second seminar researchers will be asked to discuss their research paper with
local academic staff and external experts. The first seminar will be held during
the week March 29 to April 3. The second during the week 5-9 July. |
