The EURO-MED Centre was created by the Department of Political Studies in 1997. An agreement between the University of Catania and the European Commission in the framework of the Action Jean Monnet, acknowledges the Centre as European Centre of Excellence whose aim is to develop multildisciplinary activities relating to the construction of the European Union both within the university and at regional level, with special reference to process of cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean area. |
